Management Committee

Just thought we would let you know about some of the training & work background of Eagles management committee. It may be of help or it may get in the way but as we are all either peers in recovery or have extended roles of caring for loved ones in active addiction it was considered a good idea to put up some training and experiential work relevant to running a peer  project such as Eagle

Four of the seven strong team have completed the NEXT Project — an NOCN Level Two twelve week training schem covering drug and addiction awareness and motivational interviewing skills to encourage change in others, complemented by personal development work with a personal tutor.

Two of the team are qualified Counsellors with diplomas in counselling with one having worked with bereavement issues whilst the second has been working with families affected by addiction issues.

Two have recently achieved success gaining Diplomas in Health & Social Care with specialist units around addiction with one volunteering with a National Treatment agency

One has qualified with NVQ Level Three in Advice & Guidance

Two have volunteered at the Crisis Intervemtion Centre in City Road helping clients to handle their detox programmes.

One member has NOCN Level Three  – Tacklinmg Substance Misuse focusing on Communications at group and one to one environments.
